Richard Spooner from California and the 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding Cristallo (Caretino x Cicero) took the winner’s slot in the Wellington CSI3* Grand Prix last night.

Second was Katie Dinan (USA) and Nougat Du Vallet, and Ben Maher (GBR) on Tripple-X III, were third.

There were 66 starters in the competition, and the course builder was Germany’s Olaf Petersen, Jr.

Seven went through to the jump-off, and four were clear.
